Brussels Sprouts Day 8

My brussels sprouts are growing fast. I planted the brussels sprouts 8 days ago. The seedlings are growing pretty fast from the indoor greenhouse kit. I will be keeping the plants indoors until around early May or late April. Today I purchased many flower and vegetable seed packets. I will be starting the other seed packets in indoor greenhouses next week.

First Crocus Flower of Spring

Today my first crocus flower bulb plant bloomed today. Weather outside is was a little cold and very windy. I was not expecting my crocuses until a couple more weeks. To my surprise this morning there was this little yellow crocus flower in my bulb garden.

Clover Sprouts

Snapdragons Flower Seed Starting

I started my snapdragon flower seeds in a indoor greenhouse kit. I received my other fruit and vegetable seeds in the mail. Today's mail contained my cotton seeds, pumpkin seeds, and strawberry seeds. I have ordered more seeds from the Internet. Usually, I get most of my flower and vegetable seeds from local big box stores or garden nurseries. Garden nurseries tend to have better flower seeds. Most my garden flowers and vegetables are going to started from seeds this year. Last year I got to excited and planted some of my flowers too early. The last cold frost came in late April year. I lost some of the flowers and vegetables I planted. This Year I am starting most of the garden stuff indoors and plan to plant the flowers and vegetables in late April or early May depending on the weather here.

Early Spring Flower Bulbs

More spring flower bulbs starting to come out of the ground. I am getting excited for when all my tulips, daffodils, crocus, and my other spring bulbs come out completely. I have a small garden dedicated to just tulips and daffodils. My other garden space I have will be used for my summer flowers and vegetables.

Crocus Flower

Crocus flower bulb starting to come out this spring. The crocus plant is in the middle of the tulip and daffodil bulb plants. Last fall when I planted my flower bulbs, I planted crocus bulbs in my tulip and daffodil garden.

Pansy Flower Seed Starting

With spring just around the corner, I started my pansy flowers in a greenhouse kit. In the coming weeks I will be starting off many of my flower seeds in greenhouse kits. Pictures of the progress of the flowers will be posted in the coming weeks.

Today I started my Brussels Sprouts in a mini greenhouse kit.

Greenhouse kits are easy to use and great for starting seeds off.

The greenhouse kits can be purchased from most garden centers.

Spring is Near

Spring is just around the corner. Tulips and daffodils are begining to come out. Now is the time to start flower and vegetable seeds indoors. Early spring is also the time to begin planing your flower and vegetable garden.
