Rain Water Harvesting

Rain water harvesting is very important to me. Today it rained and I collected 200 gallons in the water tank. This tank in my backyard can hold 300 gallons of water. On the side of the water tank I hooked up a water hose to the top side of the tank as a overflow. So when the tank fills up with water that the excess water goes to my garden or where I need the water. Water storage tanks can be purchased from hardware stores or many garden centers.
I always water my flower and vegetable garden with rain water. I have a 300 gallon water tank in my front yard and a 300 water gallon storage tank in my back yard.

Corn Seedling

In my garden I prepared a large area near my vegetable garden area for corn, and in another area I will be planting tomatoes. The corn and tomato plants are started in a couple of my indoor greenhouse kits. So far over 50 corn plants have sprouted up. I planted around 300+ corn kernels.
